I saw this really neat idea on Pinterest here. The kids know that ice cubes float, but those are small. I thought it would be cool to show them that even large chunks of ice float (like an iceberg). This all seemed to fit in nicely after learning last week that freezing outside temperatures can cause ice to form. Ansley and Logan both thought the "iceberg" was really fun. Unfortunately, the bath was pretty warm so our ice block melted quickly. It also didn't stay above water as well as the Pinterest picture. I think next time I'll try freezing a cookie sheet block and make the bath water more room temp.
