... that's what Ansley calls Green Eggs and Ham when she wants it read. It's one of her new favorites in the daily rotation. She's also obsessed with pointing out the mouse in both this book and Goodnight Moon.

We had a shower in West Palm Beach on Saturday at my mom's house. It was a lot of fun and Gator themed for our little boy. Of course I didn't think to stop and take pictures with my camera so here are a few from my mom's phone...
Feeling good, a little tired, but good. I actually have taken a few naps while Ansley naps which is normally unheard of for me. Also beginning to notice some swelling from time to time in my feet after being outside in the heat for long periods. At my Friday appointment my blood pressure was still low (100/60) and I gained 2.5 more pounds (21.5 overall). I think we'll be setting a c-section date at the next check-up, but it might not be necessary if I go early like with Ansley.

This is the only picture we were able to take in this configuration because once Ansley saw Jon sitting on the arm of the chair she wanted to be sitting there too.
Right after she switched spots...

Saturday we took a trip to the Crocodile Crossing Alligator Farm to see some gators and try out the ropes course. Ans, Marie and I stayed down on the ground while the rest of the group passed us periodically, zip lining through the tree tops...

Jon and I have taken a picture every year on (or close to) our wedding anniversary to help remember what stage of life we were in at that point. Here's this year's photo, taken on our actual anniversary (which hasn't always happened!). I wanted to do it in the baby boy's room, but it's not at all ready. When I was pregnant with Ans we took the photo in her set up, but not yet occupied, nursery. It's one of my favorites. We were a month late that year taking the pic so everything was finished. Also, it was much harder than anticipated to get a picture of Ansley sitting still. The photo is a little grainy/out of focus, but shocking that everyone (including Allie) is looking.

We moved Ansley's old crib to her baby brother's room over the weekend. Here she is going to bed in it for the last time on Saturday night...
I went around and around about whether or not to buy another crib or move her to a big bed. In the end we decided to get a big new chair and larger bookcase so a twin bed would have left little room for play space in there. This Ikea crib is much closer to the ground than her old one, converts to a cute toddler bed and gives us the option of keeping her "contained" a little bit longer. Here is Ansley waking up for the first time in the new bed after her nap Sunday afternoon...
She may look unhappy about the change, but she's not at all. I actually think her expression is more confused because she took one of the longest naps she's had in a while (Almost 4 hours! She's been averaging about 2.5 on a normal day). The chair and new bookcase are in there but we haven't moved the changing table out yet so things look a little cramped. Once we get it all situated I'll post a picture of her new set up.

Today was my 30 week check-up. I can't believe we're here already! Blood pressure is still looking good (100/52) and gained 3 more pounds (19 overall). I'm feeling really tired (and bigger compared to 27 weeks). It's hard to tell if the fatigue is due to this being my second pregnancy or because I can't take a nap/break whenever I want with Ansley running around. Not too much longer to go!
30 Week Bump
In one month Ansley has eaten all the blueberries we picked with the Dourtes. The picture above is one of 3 trays from that trip that I rinsed and let dry before putting in the fridge. Multiply the picture by three and that's how many she has gone through. This doesn't even include the pint Jon bought at Publix on Thursday (which has also been consumed) or the ones I froze and put in her smoothies. I'm shocked she hasn't started turning blue. She did much better this time. Instead of picking berries off the ground she actually took them from bushes. (And yes, she is wearing the same outfit from the first blueberry trip. It's one of the few things I thought would hide potential stains if she happened to get any smashed on her clothes.)
