It is so much fun now that Ansley is old enough to play with other kids. In her age group, most of the little guys still are more interested in toys than each other. So, when Rilea came up yesterday, I wasn't sure if Ans would actually play with her. At first Rilea tried holding Ansley's hand, but little miss independent wanted nothing to do with that. Once we arrived at the park though, Ansley began calling out Rilea's name and following her around. She's finally found a buddy who wants to do stuff with her too :)

Ever since the time change, there's a period in the afternoon when Ansley becomes little miss cranky pants. I think she decided to take her water bottle, a traveling companion and go in search of some nicer parents :)
Luckily, after dinner she perked up and spent a good portion of the evening "reading" to herself. She especially likes the "Quack, quack, quack, quack" part of Five Little Ducks.

Last weekend I didn't have any pictures from our WPB trip. I did a little better this weekend and took some with my phone...
In case you can't tell, she's crawling through the cat door on the doggie gate :)

A few weekends ago I started some lettuce seeds. Instead of planting them in the garden, I'm going to try making a lettuce box out of an old wine crate. We'll see how it goes.
Hopefully they'll take off like those Basil seeds planted when Kennon and Ellison were here in August.
I've felt overwhelmed by the thought of keeping up with the bigger vegetable space in the yard. I think this will be more manageable and help me get back into the routine. The only problem is, Ansley really likes to go out on the back porch now. She heads straight for the potted plants and shoves her little hands down in the dirt. That big box is just asking to be dug into :)
