Jon and I took a late anniversary trip to New Smyrna a few days ago and left Ansley (for the first time!) with Nana and Grandpa. She did great... and I only cried a little :o) It was a lot of fun to just hang out and funny how our attitudes about vacation have changed since our little addition arrived. In the past, we'd try to fit in as many activities as possible. This time, we tried to make the 48 hours sans baby as relaxing as possible.
However, my inner busy bee couldn't help itself and after seeing this post: Playa Linda Beach and realizing that it was in the Canaveral Seashore, I decided we should go. Unfortunately, what I failed to realize is that the Canaveral seashore is quite long and we, being at the northern end, were a good 30min from Playa Linda (at the southern end). Oh well. It was still beautiful and well worth the extra driving since the beach right outside our hotel was full of tourists and allowed cars to drive through.
The towers and such in the picture above are from the Kennedy Space Center's launch site. It was really beautiful and relaxing!
