Family Picture

2010

For the past 6 years Jon and I have taken an anniversary picture. I forgot about it this year and am not sure if this will be the official one. Generally we try to do it somewhere in our current home so we'll be able to remember where we lived at the time. Although, #4 was taken in Oregon and is missing Allie. This year's is at Jon's parents' house instead of our own, but I guess will have to do. Here are the shots from previous years...

More Standing

Playing by the back door in the morning...

Allie had fun too! Probably because she thought Ansley touching her unopened dog food bag meant she was gonna get to eat :o)

Standing again

Ansley took a few week hiatus from standing. She literally would not lock her knees for anything, but decided on Tuesday to start again. This was only after thinking my bag of Doritos was her bag of Yogurt Melts. She pulled herself up so fast you would have never know she had been on a standing strike. She also has begun making this really strange noise when she wants food. At first, when she would see us eating or get hungry she'd smack her lips together while saying "num num num num". Now, she almost yells "nneeah" over and over. We're not sure if she's saying "snack", "more" or maybe "now". This is the noise she made while standing at the coffee table trying to reach my bag of chips. Since that night she's been standing all the time and even "cruises" along our coffee table.

Our second attempt at the pool while at Nana & Grandpa's. She's laughing at Allie in the first pic.

New Smyrna

Jon and I took a late anniversary trip to New Smyrna a few days ago and left Ansley (for the first time!) with Nana and Grandpa. She did great... and I only cried a little :o) It was a lot of fun to just hang out and funny how our attitudes about vacation have changed since our little addition arrived. In the past, we'd try to fit in as many activities as possible. This time, we tried to make the 48 hours sans baby as relaxing as possible.

However, my inner busy bee couldn't help itself and after seeing this post: Playa Linda Beach and realizing that it was in the Canaveral Seashore, I decided we should go. Unfortunately, what I failed to realize is that the Canaveral seashore is quite long and we, being at the northern end, were a good 30min from Playa Linda (at the southern end). Oh well. It was still beautiful and well worth the extra driving since the beach right outside our hotel was full of tourists and allowed cars to drive through.

The towers and such in the picture above are from the Kennedy Space Center's launch site. It was really beautiful and relaxing!

At Nana & Grandpa's

Ansley had a lot of fun looking out the doors at Nana and Granpa's... Specifically, she liked pointing at the flowers through the glass.

She also enjoyed chasing after the cat :o)

Ansley had her first experience in a pool yesterday at Nana and Grandpa's. We think she liked it :o)

Pileated Woodpecker

We have had quite a week with the birds in our yard. Thursday evening there were not one, not two, not three, but FOUR pileated woodpeckers in our backyard. All were pecking away at the same pine tree. (Sorry the video is so shaky)
